See how Zebra was made!
This captivating mixed media art piece brings the majestic zebra to life within its natural habitat, blending textures and colors to evoke the vibrant landscape of Tanzania's renowned Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Constructed on Ampersand Aquabord, the zebra was cut from old calendar paper and embellished with silk ribbon and bits of cloth. For the backing, I combined wall paper, dried flower petals, wire, and pieces of broken wicker. This piece is the second in a series inspired by the photographs in an old travel book and my childhood memories of Malawi.
Perfect for art enthusiasts and nature lovers alike, Zebra invites viewers to experience the harmonious dance of wildlife and their environment.
Size: 12” x 12”
Depth: 1.5”
